Sparkup Tartu Science Park invites companies, developers, and experts in unmanned aviation to help develop use cases and a technical framework for Estonian U-space.
U-space is a European Union framework for managing unmanned aircraft traffic at low altitudes.
It includes digital services such as geo-awareness, flight authorization management, traffic information and conformance monitoring, allowing drones to fly safely even in dense traffic or over populated areas without each flight requiring separate manual coordination.
We have reached a stage where detailed industry input is essential to map real use cases and understand what the future U-space environment must support.
The goal is not just to create a theoretically safe framework on paper, but an environment that enables safe, scalable, and technically feasible drone operations, along with the business models built on them.
If you work in unmanned aviation and have a use case, technology, operational experience or simply a perspective to share, we welcome your input through our survey. Your contribution will help shape U-space use cases and the technical framework in Tartu, and potentially across Estonia.
Please also share this call with colleagues and organizations who should be part of this discussion.
