The sTARTUp Tartu business ideas program \u201cFrom Idea to MVP\u201d is an opportunity to take the first step on your entrepreneurial journey. We welcome applications from anyone living or working in Tartu who has an idea \u2013 whether it\u2019s a new service, product, or a smart solution to an everyday problem. You can apply individually or as a team, and no prior entrepreneurial experience is required. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Why participate?<\/h3>

The program offers participants an opportunity to refine their business idea, receive feedback from experienced mentors, and further develop their concept with professional support. Participants gain access to Tartu\u2019s entrepreneurial network, and the most outstanding ideas will advance to Tartu\u2019s incubation or acceleration programs. The best ideas will receive financial support for prototype development (prize fund \u20ac5000),<\/strong> a free coworking desk in one of Tartu\u2019s shared offices, and dedicated mentoring support. <\/p>

How to participate?<\/h3>

To participate, submit your business idea in five short \u201ctweet-sized\u201d answers. Each answer must fit within 280 characters and respond to a specific question: <\/p>

  1. Problem or need<\/strong> Describe the specific problem or need your idea addresses and explain why it matters. <\/li>
  2. Business idea<\/strong> Explain your idea: what exactly are you offering (product, service, or other solution) and what makes it unique. <\/li>
  3. Users or target group<\/strong> Who will use your solution and why do they need it? Describe how they benefit from your idea. <\/li>
  4. Potential business model<\/strong> How could your idea generate revenue in the future? Outline the logic of earning and sustainability. <\/li>
  5. Team experience and motivation<\/strong> Introduce yourself and your team: previous experience, your motivation to work on this idea, and why you can succeed.<\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    Evaluation criteria<\/h3>

    The jury will assess whether the idea is realistic and feasible, and whether the business model is sustainable. International potential and investability are also taken into account. Although the jury consists of experienced investors and entrepreneurs, the idea does not have to be technology-based or highly scalable. Creative and locally impactful initiatives are also welcome. What matters most is that the idea solves a real problem and the team has the motivation and determination to make it happen. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
