Estonian honorary consuls visit the smart city of Tartu

Just before Midsummer, a hundred Estonian honorary consuls visited Tartu.

One of the topics discussed was the smart city, where our board member Pirko Konsa highlighted the importance of collaboration between the public sector, businesses, and academia (triple helix model of innovation) and introduced solutions already being implemented in Tartu.

PositiumFymaTrackDeep and Auve Tech provided an overview of the problems they are solving in cities. During the panel discussion, names shared their experiences and answered questions from the audience, such as which is the least digitalized city where they have implemented their solutions, or how safe data collection and usage are by the solutions presented in urban spaces.

Thank you, City of Tartu and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the opportunity to share the innovation and experiences!
