On 8-9 September, Sparkup Tartu Science Park held its autumn training for incubation program participants at Kääriku, centered around a team-building program run by MAD. Over two days, nearly 60 founders from the incubation programs took part in practical, hands-on activities, including a blindfolded trust exercise and a giant game of mah-jong, to develop teamwork, trust, collaboration, and the ability to work toward a shared goal.
MAD’s team trainings are based on experiential learning: participants work through practical tasks together, then analyze and reflect on what they did. This approach builds trusting, high-performing teams whose members collaborate better and learn from their experiences. MAD brings over 20 years of team development experience and has worked with more than 2,000 groups in Estonia and internationally.
Participants’ feedback was very positive, with an average rating of 4.8 out of 5. Beyond the practical activities and learning, the evenings gave founders a chance to connect in a more relaxed setting. The sauna and time by the lake were, for many, a fitting way to round off the training day.
The Kääriku autumn training is a traditional autumn event for Sparkup Tartu Science Park’s incubation programs, bringing founders from different programs together to grow, share experiences and build new connections.
