In May 2026, five Estonian companies participated in the Nordic Game conference in Malmö, Sweden, as part of the CDG-Booster project. Nordic Game is one of Europe’s leading gatherings for game developers, offering participants the opportunity to connect with fellow developers, game publishers, investors, and creative professionals from around the world.
At the CDG-Booster joint booth, Estonian companies, together with partners from Sweden and Finland, showcased their games, digital solutions, and technologies to an international audience. The event provided opportunities to test ideas with industry experts and establish new business connections.
The following companies represented Estonia at the conference:
Argentum Studio – an Estonian-Latvian company specializing in CGI and animation production using Unreal Engine 5. The studio produces trailers, creates 3D animations, provides VFX services, and develops Unreal-based production tools.
Robothai – an indie game team behind Grannies on Wheels, a chaotic multiplayer game for up to four players. The premise of the game: grandmothers driving cars, battling over jam.
Neocortex – an AI startup providing AI services for game developers. Their platform enables the creation of interactive characters for games.
Uppercut Studios – an Estonian virtual production studio offering services ranging from studio rental to full-scale production solutions for games, films, and other creative projects.
Rhea Games – a Tallinn-based indie studio developing engaging narrative-driven games. The studio is currently working on two titles: Orms and CatCraft.
The joint mission helped Estonian companies increase their international visibility, connect with potential partners and investors, and strengthen Estonia’s position as a capable game development hub. CDG-Booster is a project funded by the Interreg Central Baltic Programme, supporting digital creative and technology-based SMEs through training programmes, mentoring, and support for entering international markets.
