PRIVACY POLICY

The privacy conditions regulate the processing of personal data and the use of cookies on all Tartu Science Park Foundation (hereinafter TSP) websites, which are: https://teaduspark.ee/ and https://www.esabic.ee/ (hereinafter the website).

The following does not concern the storage of data of legal entities and the processing of personal data on foreign web pages referred to on TSP’s web pages, the management of which TSP is not responsible for.

TERMS

Personal data processing is any activity performed with the personal data of the website user (hereinafter the user) – data collection, processing, storage, correction, or deletion.

Users are all persons who visit the website, consume services, or transmit information to TSP. For example, reading articles, ordering services, or contacting TSP by email.

Services are all free and paid products and services offered by TSP, including newsletters.

A cookie is a small text file that the web browser automatically saves on the device used by the user. Cookies may be created by different service providers, such as Google and Facebook. Cookie files are not dangerous for your computer.

The third party is a contractual partner of TSP, which processes personal data and with the help of whose product or service TSP offers services to the user.

PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA

By using the website, the user consents to the processing of their data in accordance with these privacy conditions.

TSP collects the following personal data of users through the website in the ways described below:

  • user’s name and e-mail address – when the user joins the mailing list, uses the contact form, or sends an e-mail.
  • website visitation statistics – with the help of Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, etc.

USE OF PERSONAL DATA

TSP uses personal data:

  • to provide a service to the user, for example, to conclude and fulfill a contract, to communicate with the user, to send invoices.
  • to send notifications about new events, services, and campaigns to the user’s e-mail address, but only with the user’s prior consent.

TSP uses website visitation statistics to improve the user experience of the website and for more effective marketing.

The user has the right to prohibit the processing of their personal data at any time, unless it is necessary to fulfill a requirement arising from the contract, including the provision of the service.

TRANSFER OF PERSONAL DATA TO THIRD PARTIES

The third party is a contractual partner of TSP, which processes personal data and with the help of whose product or service TSP offers services to the user.

TSP uses third parties for day-to-day operations who provide:

  • e-mail forwarding and management system,
  • website hosting,
  • website usage statistics analysis.
  • use of social media and analysis of social media statistics,
  • use of accounting software.

In addition to the third parties mentioned in the previous point, TSP transmits the user’s personal data to the cooperation partner. This is only to the extent necessary to provide the service to the user.

STORAGE AND SECURITY OF PERSONAL DATA

TSP stores personal data if it is necessary to fulfill a purpose or as required by law. For example, accounting data is stored for 7 years from the end of the financial year, while the e-mail address on the mailing list is stored until the user expresses a wish to remove it from there.

TSP implements all reasonable measures to protect the processed personal data. Only authorized persons have access to change and process personal data, and personal data of all users is treated as confidential information.

USER RIGHTS

The user has the right at any time:

  • express the wish to access their data.
  • demand correction, addition, or deletion of personal data under the conditions prescribed by law.
  • request restriction of processing of personal data.
  • request the transfer of personal data.

To exercise their rights, the user must send a corresponding request to the e-mail address info@teaduspark.ee.

If the user belongs to the TSP (incl. ESA BIC Estonia) mailing list, they can remove themselves from the mailing list and opt out of further emails via the link at the end of the e-mail.

To limit the use of cookies, the user can make the appropriate choices in the settings of their web browser.

If the user believes that their rights have been violated during the processing of personal data, they have the right to contact the Data Protection Inspectorate.

COOKIES

The TSP website uses cookies with the aim of ensuring a better user experience and more effective marketing activities and collecting usage statistics.

By using the TSP website, the user agrees to the use of cookies as described in their procedure.

TSP uses Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn social network buttons provided by the following companies: Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA, Twitter Inc., 795 Folsom Street, Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA, Instagram, and LinkedIn Corporation, 2029 Stierlin Court, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Investly uses Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn social network buttons so that users can instantly share or like Investly’s social network pages, website. These are buttons linked to third-party social media pages, and these pages may record the user’s activities on the Internet, including on this website. If you have accounts in the mentioned social media channels and you do not want your visit to this website to be associated with your user information by social networks, log out of the social networks before entering the Investly page. TSP reserves the right to change the privacy terms unilaterally and without notice, to ensure their compliance with the law. The Privacy Policy is always available on the website in its latest version.
