COMMUNITY REFLECTIONS

Kaisa Ratt
Spaceit OÜ, software developer
The science park team consists of colleagues who everyone should meet and experience during their careers. They’ve created a fantastic working environment where both small teams as well as individual specialists can come and realize their ideas without having to burden themselves with the everyday problems of an office space. Our company has been very warmly welcomed and our wishes have always been considered.
Marek Alliksoo
SKYCORP Technologies, CEO
For us joining ESA BIC was a gamechanger, not only has it been the only truly worthwhile incubator throughout the years, but it allowed us to develop our IP portfolio and submit our first patent alongside our longer vision. For a company that didn’t even consider themselves to be SpaceTech we’ve had another tremendous milestone by actually being the first ESA BIC incubatee to enter into direct negotiations with ESA, win a tender and since that together with continuous support develop our business lines, network and know-how. All of that from a single conversation at the famous sTARTUp Day Tartu event (thanks Sven!).
Stefano Alberico
Skudo, CEO and Founder
Being part of the ESA BIC in Estonia was an invaluable experience for Skudo. We highly recommend ESA BIC to any aspiring space-related business venture. The program not only accelerates technological advancements but also offers a unique platform for networking and growth. Our time at ESA BIC was undoubtedly a key contributor to our success, and we are immensely grateful for the opportunity and the positive impact it has had on our journey.
Siim Kukk
Pharmasynth, Director of R&D
Our company has been renting premises at Tartu Science Park since 2004. We greatly appreciate the location of the science park and the freedom to adapt the spaces to suit our needs. It is also positive to be in the same cluster with other high potential research and development companies.
Lauri Koorits
Bioatlas, CEO
It seems that Bioatlas has been in the Tartu Science Park for an eternity. I arrived at Bioatlas in 2007, and by then the office was already set up. Since then, we have established several laboratory spaces in the Tartu Science Park. We value the environment where we are located. Over time, we have found several partners, service providers, and suppliers here. At the moment, all our needs are covered here. We also greatly appreciate the Science Park cafe, which is currently the best ever.
Hannes Plinte
Gscan, Co-founder, member of the Supervisory Board
“We participated in the incubator because we saw the need for consultations and mentorship to make better decisions on our journey from science to business. During the program, we received a lot of support from mentors. With the help of mentors, we gained a better understanding of the processes involved in raising investments. We also felt support from the general network, the sTARTUp Day joint exhibition booth, and other networking events.”
