SharOn

Project name and brief description:

SharOn (Opportunities for European Entrepreneurship in the Sharing Economy) is a small project aimed at researching and supporting the sharing economy sector and the businesses operating within it.

Objectives:

The objective of the SharOn project is to create opportunities for aspiring entrepreneurs and support the development of their ideas related to the sharing economy. Preferred ideas come from sectors such as travel and accommodation, transportation and logistics, education, personal, business, and financial services.

Activities:

The main output of the project is the SharOn Academy mentorship program, conducted in collaboration with the NULA Social Initiatives Incubator (https://nula.kysk.ee) through a joint campaign for selected teams from June 1, 2019, to November 30, 2019. The best team will advance to a pitching competition held in Warsaw in November 2019.

Objectives: The SharOn project aims to provide opportunities for entrepreneurs and support the development of ideas related to the sharing economy, particularly in sectors such as travel and accommodation, transportation and logistics, education, personal, business, and financial services.

Project Partners: The project partners consist of Enterprise Europe Network partners from five countries: Poland, Estonia, Slovakia, Bulgaria, and Italy.

Programme: The project is funded under the European Union’s COSME programme.

Project Duration: 24 months from December 1, 2017, to November 30, 2019.

Project Budget: The total project budget is 378,319 EUR, with a grant of 340,487 EUR. Tartu Science Park’s budget in the project is 55,319.5 EUR, with COSME programme support covering 90%.
