The highly anticipated Scaleup Launchpad programme is open for applications.
Don’t miss the chance to apply to the innovative cross-border programme designed to accelerate the growth of your business. Through a series of in-person cross-border workshops, online trainings, 1-to-1 mentorship sessions with industry experts, and offline/online networking opportunities, gain the skills and knowledge needed to take your company to the next level. The programme will be conducted by Tampere Region Economic Development Agency Business Tampere in Finland, Tartu Science Park in Estonia and Norrköping Science Park in Sweden. Each partner’s City Governments are intentionally involved, which gives the participating scaleups easier access to the cities as implementation environments for products.
The programme’s comprehensive curriculum is centered around four key pillars: opening new markets, strategy, financials, and team. Each cohort will have around 10 companies, the problems will be mapped and modules tailor-made around the issues that are brought to light via Hippometer evaluation along with the challenges highlighted by the participating teams. Between companies there will be peer-to-peer matchmaking while also having designated times to work 1-on-1 with companies to solve issues. The programme has been designed to be as efficient and streamlined as possible and with just a few hours of commitment each week, you’ll soon be closer to scale-up status.
The project kicks off online at the end of August 2023, followed by introductory online sessions. The first workshop will be held in Norrköping, Sweden during the Norrköping Innovation Week in November 2023. Subsequently, Tartu will host the second workshop in January during sTARTUp Day 2024, followed by Tampere in June in conjunction with the Tampere Smart City Week 2024. Why apply?
The programme is intended to give participating companies access to new markets, provide international networking opportunities and access to events, mentoring and coaching. It will create the opportunity for knowledge transfer to make scaling up less painful. Collaboration between partnering organizations and cities will give companies a unique fast lane to test products in the smart cities faster. Participating companies will also be given access to investment readiness evaluation that helps them notice what are their strengths and on the other hand, what topics require specific attention. The development programme activities are free of charge, except for the travel to and from cross-border workshops.
Who can apply?
- Companies that have their product/service connected to the Smart City theme
- Companies founded after the 1st of July 2013 and in operation for at least one full fiscal year, up to a maximum of 10 years.
- Have a motivated and engaged core team, existing clients, and revenue.
- Have raised at least one investment round (bootstrapped businesses are also accepted) and be looking to raise funds in the future.
- Have a scalable business model and be located in the Central Baltic Region
