Game Camps is going to San Francisco!

In March 19-23, the Game Camps team is participating at Game Developers Conference in San Francisco. GDC is the world’s largest professional game industry event. Main aim of the visit is to network with key players to establish contacts and prepare an investor event in 2019 for the best Game Camps teams.

Regarding project progress so far, Game Camps lead partner Teemu Saarelainen said, “Our recently launched mentoring programme is supporting six international teams established during our events in Tallinn and Riga in 2017. With two additional Game Camps to be held in 2018 in Kotka and Visby, we are well on our way in reaching the goals of the project.”

Game Camps is an initiative to strengthen cross-border ties between the Baltic Sea countries’ game industries. It is a great opportunity to meet new people within the industry, show off your skills and learn about what it takes to create a game from start to finish. The main goal is to help establish at least 10 cross-border game companies over the next few years, working with no less than 240 aspiring game developers from Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Sweden. Game Camps is co-financed by the EU INTERREG Central Baltic programme.
